2027 Foundation (Prep) Enrolment
Our school zone is available on findmyschool.vic.gov.au which hosts the most up-to-date information on school zones in Victoria.
Students residing within our school zone are guaranteed a place at our school. Your school zone is determined based on your permanent residential address.
Our school manages enrolments using the Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their local school. Students may enrol at another school if there are available places.

‘SOMERS FIRST STEPS’ PROGRAM

Our brand new Somers First Steps program offers a taste of school for children to see if Somers Primary School is the ideal school for your child.

Wednesday May 6 – Belonging at the Beach
Children will engage in learning activities at Somers Beach, facilitated by staff and students from Somers Primary School. Learning activities will focus on language, literacy, social and emotional learning and learning about the natural environment.
Wednesday May 20 – Being at School
Children will engage in learning activities at Somers Primary School with staff and students from Somers PS, with a focus on learning and developing positive learning behaviours and routines, meeting teachers and Principal team and experiencing specialist classes in the Arts, Language, Science and Physical Education.
FORMAL TRANSITION PROGRAM
FOR STUDENTS ENROLLED FOR 2027
For students enrolled for 2027, formal transition sessions will occur on the following dates:
Wednesday 21 October: 9:15am to 10:45am
Wednesday 4 November: 9:15am to 10.45am
Wednesday 18 November: 9:15am to 10.45am
Tuesday 8 December (State-wide Transition Day): 9:00am to 11:00am
2027 PREP INFORMATION EVENING
THURSDAY 7th May @ 6:00PM
Our Prep Information Evening will take place on Thursday 7th May at 6:00pm. This will be held in the BER building opposite our school office.
The Prep 2027 Information Evening will cover important information that will assist families on deciding whether Somers Primary is the perfect fit for your child.
