tours, process and availabilities
Somers Primary School has an enrolment zone, which can be accessed via the findmyschool.vic.gov.au website. We are currently accepting enrolments from outside our enrolment zone for families looking to join our wonderful school community. For more information about School Zones, please visit the Department of Education and Training website.
Enrolments are welcomed any time. We encourage new enrolments to make contact with us earlier to ensure your child has a smooth transition to Somers Primary School. This is especially important for our Prep students.
Each year we run a comprehensive ‘Ready, Set… Prep’ program, where children are invited to attend three sessions at school in the year before they are eligible to start school. Children do not need to be enrolled to come and try our ‘Ready, Set… Prep’ program. For children enrolled in Prep for the following year, we run a four-week transition program. Children who have attended all of these sessions will have had seven sessions at school before they begin, allowing them to develop familiarity with our school staff and grounds, as well as helping us learn more about your child.
Our school has an inclusive enrolment policy, and we will accept children’s enrolment where possible and beneficial for your child. We proudly welcome and support all students to access learning at Somers Primary School.
For more information about how to choose and enrol in a Victorian Government school, please go to the Department of Education and Training website.
